We held our wedding at The Poets House on 27th Oct 2018. We booked it a year in advance and worked with the Events Manager to create our very special day. The hotel delivered - and more. It was amazing. The facilities, including the bedrooms, are top class and the staff are incredibly helpful. Indeed, one guest commented that the staff kept smiling throughout and that makes all the difference. When we entered the Writing Room for the wedding breakfast, it had been dressed to perfection and would have done justice to any elite hotel in the world. The food was superb - everyone loved it. But above all, the ambience of this gem of a hotel made it perfect for us. We can not recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I got married and had our reception at Poets House in Ely. The team were extremely attentive and organised, right from when we first looked around to the day after our wedding. We had exclusive use for our wedding, which came with all 21 rooms. We all had a fantastic time and guest were extremely impressed with the rooms and the quality of the food on the day. Breakfast the day after was included for those guests that stayed, and was excellent!

We spent a long time after we got engaged looking for our perfect venue and we were so pleased to find it at Poets House. We had a large Sikh wedding on the Saturday of a bank holiday weekend, followed by a more intimate ceremony and celebration at the lovely Poet's House on the Sunday. It was the ideal size for our 60-something guests and wonderful to have the run of the hotel for a relaxed and fun occasion, as well as the convenience and luxury of having most of our guests staying at the hotel overnight in the beautiful rooms. We first came to Poets House for lunch, and the high quality of the food was a big influence on our making the decision that we'd found the right venue for us. The only difficult part was choosing what to have to eat on our big day because we enjoyed everything at our tasting!

The team at Poets House are fantastic - Christine in particular was so helpful in the run up to the wedding and keeping everything moving on the day. She was happy to accommodate our requests, including for outdoor games in their courtyard - I recommend giant Jenga! - and would always provide a reassuring response to my last minute panics. The team even created table numbers to match my "art deco" theme. I recommend Poets House for any couple looking for an elegant venue, which offers the flexibility to make your wedding special and personal to you.

We held our wedding reception and party at the lovely Poet's House. The food was fantastic, as were the bar staff, and we had a perfect day. We hired the rooms out as part of a wedding package and everyone was blown away by how beautiful the rooms were, and very excited about using the copper baths! Thank you very much.
